The Dutch acronym VLAG stands for: Voeding, Levensmiddelentechnologie, Agrobiotechnologie en Gezondheid.
Founded in 1993, the Graduate School VLAG (Advanced studies in Food Technology, Agrobiotechnology, Nutrition and Health Sciences) is a cooperative endeavour of two universities; Wageningen University, Maastricht University; and five research institutes: WUR Food & Biobased Research, RIKILT-Institute of Food Safety, NIZO Food Research, TNO Quality of Life, and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), The Netherlands.
