Introduction

On 19 and 20 May 2011 Prof Dr Jos Twisk will give a masterclass on multilevel analysis in Wageningen. During the masterclass, the basic concept of multilevel modelling will be explained with special emphasis on the interpretation of the results of multilevel analysis. Topics that are discussed include the basic principles and background of multilevel analysis as well as several examples. The masterclass will consist of both lectures and practical exercises.

Prof Dr Jos Twisk is head of the department of Methodology and Applied Biostatistics at the Institute of Health Sciences from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He is also head of the expertise centre of applied longitudinal data analysis, which is an interfaculty centre of the Institute of Health Sciences and the Medical Centre of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. His main activities are statistical and methodological consultancies (both in the clinic and at the university), and teaching.

The masterclass is for free (sponsored by VLAG) and is primarily organised for the PhD students, postdocs and staff of the Division of Human Nutrition.
