Reflexive Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact Assessment

We provide expertise and services in various forms of monitoring and evaluation tailored to support transformation processes. Our methods and approaches aim to foster systemic learning, understand the role of change agents, and/or ensure accountability to those funding interventions.

Reflexive monitoring in action

One of our flagship approaches is Reflexive Monitoring in Action (RMA); a proven method that encourages multi-actor learning, collective reflection and institutional change in transformation initiatives. RMA helps such initiatives to adapt their practices, relationships, and rules, driving progress towards long-term sustainability goals.

Narrative Assessment

For a detailed understanding of how change agents’ strategies contribute to outcomes and address challenges, we employ approaches such as Narrative Assessment. These methods are particularly useful for critically evaluating and appreciating efforts made in e.g. advocacy projects.

Ex-post evaluations and proof-of-principle experiments

Additionally, we specialize in ex-post evaluations that assess the intended and unintended impacts of projects or programmes across a variety of economic, social and sustainability indicators.

To complement this, we conduct rigorous proof-of-principle experiments to test the effectiveness of specific interventions before scaling them up.
