Summary

The thesis studied the structure, characteristics and biofunction of FIP-nha, and how glycosylation impacts the structure and stability of FIP-nha, as well as the impact on FIP-nha’s anti-tumour activity via regulating innate immune cells (macrophages). We determined the crystal structure of rFIP-nha, and investigated the correlation linkage of structure and thermostability, and glycosylation impacts on hydrolysis resistance. Meanwhile, the immunomodulatory activity of rFIP-nha on macrophage polarization and tumour scavenging activity was investigated. In addition, the underlying mechanism was further explored, which contributes to a deeper understanding of FIP-nha’s anti-tumour activity.
