VLAG organises the following general courses:

VLAG PhD week

The VLAG PhD week is a compulsory part of the VLAG education programme and it is specifically meant as an introductory course for freshman PhD candidates.

Philosophy and Ethics of Food Science and Technology (13th edition)

This series of six Thursday afternoon discussion sessions will include hands-on dealings with ethical, philosophical, and societal issues surrounding science.
The next edition of this course will take place on 18 and 25 January, 1, 8, 15 and 22 February 2018.

VLAG Statistics courses 2018

We will offer the following courses in 2018.

Big data in the life sciences, 15 - 19 October 2018

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to techniques for comprehensive data analysis of big data and to integrate heterogeneous data sets in order to extract relevant information for elucidating the living system. The course is modular and focuses on data generation, mining, analysis, data integration, and visualization.
